Her Story: CARMEN is one of the most personal CRISTINABACIO handbags.

It was born at a time when I needed to create something with meaning, not just another handbag model. A bag that would carry elegance, strength, femininity and a certain quietness — the kind of quietness women have when they carry so much, yet remain dignified, beautiful and present.

It bears my mother’s name, Carmen.

And that is exactly why I did not want this bag to be ordinary. I wanted it to be a creation with emotional weight, but also with a very clear, elegant, feminine and easily recognisable line. A bag that does not shout for attention, but instantly changes an outfit the moment you wear it.

CARMEN is about the woman who has presence without trying too hard. About the woman who can wear a white shirt, a simple dress, a suit, a pair of jeans or a summer outfit and still look perfectly put together, simply because she chose the right accessory.

It is a bag with personality, but not ostentatious. Elegant, but not rigid. Feminine, but not fragile.

Its shape was designed to have volume, beautiful proportions and a sophisticated presence. The handles, crafted over a special tubular structure, give it that distinctive feel of a well-built premium handbag, while the final version will have a semi-rigid base, slightly softer than the first sample presented, so that the bag sits more naturally when worn.

CARMEN can be worn in the hand, on the forearm, on the shoulder or with the included crossbody strap, depending on the moment, the outfit and the way you want it to feel.

It is a bag created for women who love effortless elegance and pieces with a story.

CARMEN is a premium leather handbag created for women who want a timeless, elegant, practical piece with meaning. A bag that can be worn for years and that does not depend on a trend, but on a certain idea of femininity: calm, powerful, present.

Note About the Prototype

The bag shown in the images and videos on social media is the first CARMEN prototype.

The final version made on pre-order will have a semi-rigid base, slightly softer than the prototype presented, so that the bag sits more naturally when worn. The logo will be foil embossed or blind embossed on the lower part of the bag.

The shape, proportions, handles, crossbody strap and overall design will remain unchanged.

The presentation images of the CARMEN bag are created with the help of artificial intelligence and are intended as visual references, to suggest the proportions and style of the model.

In the product images, you will also find real photos of the leather available for pre-order, so you can choose your desired color.

Please note that shades may vary slightly depending on light, screen settings and the texture of the leather. Every natural leather has its own particularities, and this makes each CARMEN bag slightly different and unique.
